Car Won’t Pass Emissions? Better Disclose it.

The Arizona Attorney General and the Department of Financial Institutions are suing Hurricane Motor Sales in Tucson for alleged violations of Arizona’s Consumer Fraud Act and Motor Vehicle Time Sales Act.  Hurricane allegedly failed to disclose to some customers that the vehicles they bought would not pass the state’s emissions standards.  They also allegedly took payments on loans after the loans had been assigned to financial institutions.
